Great location for the Vatican, 5 minute walk, metro 5 mins away too. Clean and comfortable. Only downside was that we found it noisy in our room being the room closest to the breakfast area, other guests were quite noisy walking past. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of choice to start your day.

My husband and I stayed at Allegra’s House for our stay in Rome for four nights. We wanted to walk everywhere that we could, and this location did not disappoint. Restaurants, stores, even a laundromat that washed and folded our clothes in an hour were within a short walk. The staff of Allegra’s House were kind and accommodating; you could not ask for more. Our room and bath were clean always. I am gluten free so could only eat fruit and yogurt, meat and cheese for breakfast, but I didn’t inform them ahead of time of my diet. My breakfast was just fine. Our only comment is that by American standards, the room, bath, and shower were incredibly small. My husband is tall, and although not fat, a big man. He could not pick up the soap in the shower when he dropped it. There were no chairs in our room on which to sit or set things, and just bedside tables. There is just enough room anywhere for one person to walk. We just want travelers to be aware of this if they require or are used to more personal room. Also, Alessandro was so nice, but told us when we arrived that there was now also a 28 Euro tax, but we could pay it later. He never gave us an invoice or asked us again. If he would invoice us, we would like to pay it.

You simply could not ask for a better location - the Vatican's wall is literally across the street from Allegra's House! Everything is clean and the people are very accommodating, helpful and friendly. There are 3 bedrooms and I think they're all en-suite - ours was anyway. It is a room and a bathroom with nice little touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There's even a mini fridge in the room which was very welcome because it was so hot. Breakfast was more than adequate and you certainly cannot beat the price. We can definitely recommend Allegra's to anyone and won't hesitate to stay here again.

Last year we stayed here for our honeymoon. Our last day, Alessandro came only for us at Sunday Morning. I hope we will come back here one day.Thanks for helping and kind hospitality. And why min 200 characters trip advisor?

After 3 years we came back to Allegra's House. We confirm our excellent comments. the staff is kind and give you all the information you need. the room are clean and the breakfast on top. The location is close to San Pietro and by public transport you can rich easily the center of Rome.
